Tangerang, Banten, March (AntaraKL) - The Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Office has announced that Kuala Lumpur-based Malaysian Airlines will move its operations to Terminal 3 on Apr 9, Suriawan Wakan, the executive general manager, confirmed.

Hence, Wakan called on all passengers to pay attention to the information printed on the tickets upon departure.

The Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Office is committed to supporting the shifting process, he stated.

"For passengers, please look at the terminal and gate for your departure as well as information announced at the airport hall," Wakan remarked.

Following renovation, Soekarno Hatta's Terminal 3 is designed to serve as the largest transit airport in the Southeast Asian region. The facility has digitized some of its services, such as electronic parking, crowd management system, free Wi-Fi, self check-in machines, digital banners, e-kiosks, way finding devices, body scanners, automated immigration gates, trolley management system, and e-survey at restrooms, Wakan remarked.

"In this digital age, we need to adopt these technologies in order to improve our services to consumers. Hence, airport operator PT Angkasa Pura II is optimistic that passengers would enjoy these new facilities offered at Terminal 3," he noted.

Apart from the facilities, Terminal 3 has been connected to Terminal 2 and Terminal 1 by the SkyTrain.

Meanwhile, the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport is currently connected to the BNI Sudirman Station and Duri Station in Jakarta.

State-owned Garuda Indonesia Airways and Kuala Lumpur-based low-cost airline AirAsia International will now operate from Terminal 3 of the Soekarno Hatta International Airport.
